VERSION 1.44 CHANGELIST

NEW FEATURES:

  • New Stage: The Underworld
    • Fight tougher enemy variants in an alternate version of the parking lot
    • New song added for this stage: 「Q」[8-bit; VRC6+MMC5] by Darnocz
  • New Game Mode: Free Play
    • Training mode that has its own menu allowing you to spawn enemies and items and manipulate the behavior of enemies and your meters 
  • New Costumes added
    • 5 new costumes for the Dead Beat: the outfit from 「Q」and its player 2 and AI variants
    • 2 new costumes for Mori : her casual outfit, and her 3D outfit from New Underworld Order
  • Modding system added
    • Sprite sheets are now loaded at launch from Streaming Assets, allowing the modification and addition of new costume
  • Resolution and Fullscreen options added
    • Resolution options only available in the Windows version
  • Damage Numbers and the ability to switch them off added
  • Pop up guides for picking up objects, using supers, and breaking out of stun added, and the ability to turn them off
  • Stage Select menu added
  • Costume selection and tips added to character screen

ADDITIONAL CHANGES

  • Credits updated and made more legible
  • Guard button is now held rather than pressed
  • Evade no longer ends the run timer
  • Double jump no longer ends the run timer
  • Super meter revamped to give meter on hits rather than kills
  • Super meter max values updated
  • Enemy AI values  changed.
  • Hard Mode variant AI added
  • Boss AI revamped
  • Player notification marker timings adjusted
    • Can be toggle off
  • New Game Icon Added
  • New Cursor added
  • Splash Screen updated
  • Loading screens properly implemented
  • Added health pickups dropped from enemies
    • Chance to drop higher in tougher enemies and guaranteed on boss kill
  • Added new unlock conditions for costumes and hard mode
  • Added a proper loop of each song with an intro that leads into it

BUG FIXES

  • Added a check for grabbed enemies to prevent them from breaking the animation
  • Added a check for mash attacks to prevent usage in air
  • Added animation checks for moves with mashing variants
    • Most notable in the pummel and toss animations
  • Added value checks for launched characters to send them in the proper direction
  • Added a check for held items to prevent them from sticking to character when unequipped
  • Animation values for held items updated to display properly in a character's hand
  • Added a check for spawned items to fix their initial velocity
  • Arena bounds now check for impulse forces
  • Spawn rates for items fixed
  • UI selection from menus are assigned properly
  • UI sounds from launch and the character menu no longer play when opened intially
  • Several others that I either can't remember or were the result of new features added
